This 4 page are from the colouring book ‘Chroma-Therapie: A Walk in Nature by Christopher King. I so much enjoyed colouring it!!!
I call it finished, but it isn’t quit; I am not pleased with the background. As always; I’m just no good at backgrounds. I coloured it with 3 shades of French grey of Prismacolor and blended it with baby oil. That didn’t turned out the way it supposed to be. You can see where the next shade starts, which should be blended better. The lightest shade (20% French grey) is too light.
I’m not sure yet how to change that, so I let it be for now.
I do have to mention that the real thing is better than the photo shows. A scan is even worse. It’s always a struggle to show in an image how it looks for real. I played around with editing and this is the best result I could get. Always a frustration!!
Coloured pencils; Stabilo Aqua, Original & Color, Koh-I-Noor Polycolor, Faber Castel Polychromos, Prismacolor Premier
Fineliners: Staedtler and Stabilo
Posca marker pen
In the background: 3 shades of French grey Prismacolor, blended with baby oil.
How great this would look framed at the wall??
